Stewie was traveling with his Dad, Jason on Taft Hill Road south of Fort Collins, when Jason was involved in a fatal rollover accident 8/18/10.  He was last seen in a field Sunday night.  The local Animal Shelter is setting traps in hopes of catching Stewie.  Please read more info at :

The 2010 Fort Collins Weenie Roast is being rescheduled for later in the year.  Looking at September time frame.  Just couldn’t pull it together this Spring and we are looking at doing something radically different this year.  We will keeep you posted as we get a date dailed in.

In memory of Linnea Dick, who was murdered in Fort Collins in 2008, her family will host the second annual Linnea Memorial Pet Walk and Adopt-a-thon to raise funds for local non-profit animal organizations.

Colorado Dachshund Rescue is shutting down their boarding facility in Fort Collins April 28, 2010. We have been working very hard to get these homeless Dachshunds new homes, and are down to 15 Dachshunds that still need a permanent home or a foster home. Adoption fees have been reduced to $50 to help with the process of finding them homes. If you can help, contact us immediately. Pete is in Idaho between Pocatello and Twin Falls. This is a courtesy listing for the Vet clinic to help Pete find a home. He only had soft tissue injury from the car and is OK. He is about a 4 year old Black and Tan smooth 17 pounder. The clinic reports he is very sweet, and plays with a soccer ball. If you are interested in Pete, please fill out the CODR adoption application and it will be forwarded to the vet clinic. Pete would do best in a home without children.

This is to inform you that Jordy died this past Thursday  after a
serious seizure.  He lived to be almost 17 yrs. old.  I adopted this

It is with heavy heart that I had to say Goodbye to my beloved Max, November 2009.  Max was one of the first Rescue kids to come into my life 14 years ago.  He taught me that no matter what, you better bark at the moon!  Max endured many surgeries over his years, including eye removal, IVDD, and leg amputation.  But his spririt never waivered!  Madd Max, had the heart, spirit and voice of a Great Dane, and he rocked our world!  We miss you Max, rest in Peace, little big man.
