Big Boy and Baby Boy are wonderful, kind, loving standard boys. They are brothers from different litters. They grew up in their home with their doggie Mom and Dad. Life was very good until 2 months ago, their aging doggie dad decided he hated the boys, and attacked them. Both boys required lots of stitches, so with broken hearts the family decided the boys needed to find new homes before their doggie dad killed them. We at rescue are grateful the family decided to keep the old man, to live in peace, and they did the right thing for the boys. The boys are great with other dogs, are housetrained, know the dog door, and are just wonderful dogs. We don’t get standards into rescue very often, so if you love big boys, fill out the application and get ready for a whole bunch of loving!

Abel was found as a stray and turned into a local shelter. He has been to the vet, for his dental, and neuter as well as bloodwork and vaccines. He is healthy little senior that is ready to go home. He loves being with other Dachshunds and is a very sweet gentleman. He would do well in just about any environment. He loves sharing his fluffy bed with another warm little Dachshund. Miss Lil Snausage was a stray that ended up at a local shelter. She did not do well at the shelter, she has quite the snarl when behind bars. We were told she was a purebred Dachshund, but there is something else in her background, maybe pug or chihuahua. She is a doll and simply loves being with people and other dogs. As you can see by her picture, she is a busy girl, that simple doesn’t have the time to sit still for photo’s. She is on the heavy side, and is currently working to get her bikini figure back.
