ADOPTED! Lady Bird

Lady Bird is a happy, go lucky little girl.  She was found running down a Colorado Interstate.  She was in heat and running free.  She has since been spayed and x rayed as she has a boney protrusion near her neck.  The x rays show that at some point, some how (We will let you fill in the blanks) her shoulder blade was split in half, and the front half moved forward and then reattached to the back half.  It is a bizarre break, and even stranger healing.  At this point nothing can be done, and fortunatly for this sweet, kind little girl it does not affect how she walks , runs or plays.  The only thing it really affects, is she can not wear a collar, as it gets stuck on the bone.  If you are interested in this sweet girl, and live in Colorado, please fill out the online application. Pretzel showed up as a stray at a local Colorado shelter, he is shy and did not find a home thru the shelter.  So into rescue he came.  We do not know a lot about his background, but he warms up quickly and he talks to you when you snuggle him, he is crate trained, and loves hanging out with other Dachshunds.

This Colorado Sweetheart is a Colorado Dachshund Rescue friend. All of our dogs, are spay and neutered, up to date on vaccines and are heartworm negative, on preventative and microchipped. Most also have a dental done. We rehome close to 100 Dachshunds each year, and save many of them from certain death at local shelters. By working with local shelters, we are able to give them a second chance to find their new forever homes.
