ADOPTED! Frankie

Animal’s name: Frankie Age (years): 4 Weight (pounds): 18 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Sex: Female Coat: Smooth Color: Red Frankie has been adopted!! Reason in Rescue: Failed 1st Shelter Adoption Frankie was turned into a Local shelter, because they could no longer care for her. She passed all her tests, and was adopted out to a nursing home, to live as the resident dog. Frankie is hand shy, so she did not do well in that environment as all the residents wanted to pet her. She ended up nipping the many strange hands coming at her. She was returned to the shelter, and the shelters do not give second chances. Frankie does well with some male dachshunds, she knows how to sit and come. She is crate trained and loves her chew bones. She would do best in a home with fenced yard, and someone to teach her, she will not ever be smacked upside the head again. Frankie HATES having her nails done, and will need to see the vet to have that done. She is very strong in body and mind. This Colorado Sweetheart is a Colorado Dachshund Rescue friend. All of our dogs, are spay and neutered, up to date on vaccines and are heartworm negative and on preventative. Most also have a dental done. We rehome close to 100 Dachshunds each year, and save many of them from certain death at local shelters. By working with local shelters, we are able to give them a second chance to find their new forever homes. Piper has been adopted!!

Piper’s owner passed away, and we all miss her terribly.  But Piper’s Mom made sure that she would be taken care of, and wanted her to have a kind loving home.  Piper is a happy, goofy kid, who loves everybody.  She adores sleeping in the big bed, and emptying out her toy box.
