We got a call to help a breeder that could no longer care for her dogs.  In all we will be taking in 13 Longhair Dachshunds, all under the age of 4 years.  The first group we took in was Maddie and her puppies, as well as Sam and Blue.  Maddie is 3 year old red long hair.  The pups are all boys, and we already have a previous adopter seriously considering the English Cream, and they will have a decision after the first of the year, so for know this little nugget is on adoption hold.  All of these dogs are very sweet!!!  If you have ideas for names for the boys, please send me an email at teresa@coloradodachshundrescue.org.  Sorry the pic is fuzzy, but trying to get wild boys in the shot is impossible.

This Colorado Sweetheart is a Colorado Dachshund Rescue friend. All of our dogs, are spay and neutered, up to date on vaccines and are heartworm negative and on preventative. Most also have a dental done. We rehome close to 100 Dachshunds each year, and save many of them from certain death at local shelters. By working with local shelters, we are able to give them a second chance to find their new forever homes.
