I e-mailed you a few weeks ago about Dottie. Some things have changed since then and I'm hoping that you can still help me. After the last e-mail I sent you we had an incident. My youngest son accidently let Dottie slip out the front door past him while talking to one of the neighbor kids at our front door. She ran out bit his ankle and ran back in the house ( she has never bit anyone before ). I did not get to see the neighbor boy's wound but the animal control officer told me that it was a very tiny scratch that a standard Band-Aid would easily cover. As you may have guessed by the fact that I mentioned Animal Control that the boy's mom called them. They quarantined Dottie for a week to the house. They were going to take her and put her in doggie jail for the week but since she is on medication and special food, she was allowed to stay at home. They came and checked on her this past saturday and released her from the quarantine. However they told me that I have more animals then the law will allow me to keep ( I also have 4 cats ). They told me that I would need to find a home for her or they would have to take her. I have talked to everyone that I know and no one can take her. I know that if I give her to Animal Control that they will put her down and I don't want that. She if a really sweet and loving dog, just a little overly protective of her house at times. I only have 2 weeks left to find her a home before Animal Control takes her away from me. Can you still take her for me??? Dottie is now safe in a foster and they report below.
She is still an amazing little dog. Pee's a little when she gets really excited but otherwise will go outside on the grass. She loves to climb up on Jeanne or I and lay across our chests. She is a great laptop although quite small (at least to me). She listens to commands and will not run away while outside.
