ADOPTED! Oscar

Animal’s name:Oscar Age (years):7 years Weight (pounds):10 Spayed/Neutered:Yes Sex:Male Coat:Smooth Color:Black and Tan Adoption fee:250.00 ADOPTED!! Oscar was a stray turned into a local shelter, so we do not know anything of his history.  He is a sweet, kind loving little boy, who is learning about life in his foster home.  He loves to run around with the other Dachshunds, but he hates going outside when the weather is frightful!  His housetraining is pretty good,  and he is crate trained.  He loves big snuggly blankets and beds.  And a fun toy to! He can be an escape artist, so he will need a Dachshund proof fenced yard!  He would love to have another Dachshund to pal around with to. This Colorado Sweetheart is a Colorado Dachshund Rescue friend. All of our dogs, are spay and neutered, up to date on vaccines and are heartworm negative and on preventative. Most also have a dental done. We rehome close to 100 Dachshunds each year, and save many of them from certain death at local shelters. By working with local shelters, we are able to give them a second chance to find their new forever homes. Huckleberry was a stray from a SE Colorado town, he ended up on deaths row at the shelter, only because the shelter was full.  The kind shelter manager kept extending his stay, and then contacted CODR for help.  Transportation was arranged and he ended up in rescue.  Little Huckleberry has been adopted, and is now living the life on the Western Slope.
