Tootie was a stray thru a local shelter, she was adopted out thru rescue and returned, because she didn’t bond with the little girl in the house, but she bonded with the owners. She is a sweet little stubborn girl, whio can be overly protective of her yard. She does well with the doxies, but would do poorly with any medium or large dogs.
With think she was used purely for breeding, as she had had so many puppies, she had to have a double hernia operation, which the Doc said he had never seen in a Dachshund before.
This Colorado Sweetheart is a Colorado Dachshund Rescue friend. All of our dogs, are spay and neutered, up to date on vaccines and are heartworm negative and on preventative. Most also have a dental done. We rehome close to 100 Dachshunds each year, and save many of them from certain death at local shelters. By working with local shelters, we are able to give them a second chance to find their new forever homes.
