Weight (pounds): 14
Spayed/Neutered: yes
Sex: male
Coat: smooth
Color: red
Adoption fee: $50

Abner had a life with another little dog, one day that dog escaped from the yard never to be found, about a week later Abner got out of the yard, a neighbor girl went to pick him up, and her bit her.  The owners ex-husband took Abner to the vet to euthanize him, but the vet refused and called rescue.  The ex-husband also told the vet that his ex-wife would hit and kick Abner.  Well Abner doesn’t do well with strangers, but once he knows you he is a great little dog.  Abner has had to sore neck episodes, that responded to crate rest and steriods.  He has had no issues in 18 months.
