About CODR

We are a group of individuals that work together to save Colorado’s Homeless Dachshund population. Some of us are brand new, and some of us have 13 years experience in this community service.  As a group we are a 501 (c) 3 non profit established group. We work together to rehome these lost little souls, that have found themselves homeless thru no fault of their own. We are dedicated to their medical care, and all of our Dachshunds are spayed or neutered before placement. Most Dachshunds also need dental care, and we make sure that happens to! Vaccines are updated, and heartworm test preformed as well as microchipped. On average we spend $250.00 per Dachshund to get their medical needs taken care. We rarely “make money” on adoptions, and we count on the support of our fellow Colorado Dachshund Lovers to make donations to help us care for the homeless Dachshunds.

Due to the current economy, Colorado Dachshunds are becoming homeless at an amazing rate.  We are getting daily calls for Dachshunds in Need.  Sometime we are able to help owners keep their little friends, by providing assisatance with food, and medicine.  Please help us, help them, and consider making a monthly donation of $20 each and every month.
